About Artesia

Frans Schaars, Marco van Baar, Frank van Vliet, Ruben Caljé, Davíd Brakenhoff, Onno Ebbens, and Martin Vonk work from a shared passion for water, each with their own area of expertise. We strive for transparency in our collaboration with clients as well as in our cooperation with our (scientific) network. Our strength lies in adopting a flexible working approach with short communication lines. Since Artesia operates within a flat organizational structure, where consultants are fully responsible for both the content and organizational aspects of projects, we can operate decisively with minimal overhead. At the same time, we ensure that individual strengths are optimally utilized in project execution.

Innovation and in-depth research with societal relevance are key to our work. It is essential for us to further develop both the theoretical and practical aspects of each issue, in open communication with scientists and field experts outside our firm. We collaborate with institutions such as Delft University of Technology, KWR, and Deltares. Additionally, we aim to contribute to knowledge and discussions on water systems through publications and training sessions.

Artesia was founded in early 2001 by Frans Schaars, Wouter Beekman, and John Bunnik.
